Pedestrian Safety Upgrades Coming to Lee Blvd and Mission Rd
New crossing enhancements are on the way. The city approved "rapid flashing beacons" for the intersections at 81st and Lee Boulevard, as well as near 146th and Mission Road. These high-visibility signals are designed to make it safer for neighbors to cross our busier thoroughfares.

Getting to the World Cup matches this summer just got easier. Leawood has reached an agreement for a temporary "circulator" transit route during the tournament. The shuttle will include stops near Town Center Plaza and Mission Farms, connecting Leawood directly to the FIFA action.

Chadwick Place Development Scaled Back
The planning commission has recommended approval for a revised Chadwick Place housing plan. The new proposal features 50 total units (34 single-family and 16 twin villas), a 19% reduction in density from the original plan. Commissioners noted the change helps diversify our local housing options while respecting neighborhood density.

Super Bowl LX: Seahawks Over Patriots

The Result: The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 on Sunday night in Santa Clara. Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III took home MVP honors.
